taste on a Buffet Tasting) – Buffet Tastings are an indication of quality and portion sizes

• Wedding booking must be confirmed and deposit paid to secure your place for a tasting

• Please arrange your tasting with your wedding coordinator as to how many guests will be attending the food tasting evening/lunch, the food tasting will be charged per person and will be settled on the evening/day of the tasting

• Please note that Cradle Valley holds the right to cancel and reschedule any tasting date as they see fit, should a function/wedding be booked on the scheduled tasting date

CRADLE VALLEY GUESTHOUSE                                                     
 

The charming Cradle Valley Guesthouse suites are walking distance from The View Venue.
There are 18 suites available, (excluding the bridal room).

                 2 Beautiful Cottages on the River front (*Cottage 1: 3 Rooms and 2 Bathrooms)

                                                                                                  (*Cottage 2: 1 Room and 1 Bathroom)

 

Please note that all rooms must be booked out by you to ensure full exclusivity of the estate, however you are not bound to book all the rooms. Cradle Valley will block off all the accommodation available (excluding rooms 14-18) to the general public up until 90 day prior to the wedding, giving yourself and your guest sufficient time to book out the entire guesthouse. The guesthouse is open to the general public so we require that reservations deposits are paid by no later than 90 days prior to the wedding date, to avoid disappointment.

 

Rooms 14 – 18 are not included in the above agreement, should you wish to book these rooms for the wedding day in addition to the previous mentioned rooms then the following deposit will be required immediately to avoid any disappointment.

 

• 5 Rooms @ R1500-00 per room (R750-00p.p. sharing) = R7500-00 / 50% deposit = R3 750-00 DEPOSIT   

 

Should the above mentioned deposit not be received then we will regard these room as OPEN and available to the General Public.

 

The reason for Rooms 14 – 18 being built was that we have had numerous requests from brides and their bridal parties to be able to check in the night prior to the wedding.

 

We therefore thought it best to build these additional rooms to be able to assist with this request should you as Bridal Couple decide not to book these rooms for your wedding night.

 

As mentioned above should we not receive the deposit payment of R3 750-00 then the chances of a bride/guest booking these rooms is a possibility. This area works on a First Come First Serve basis.

 

Please note that that Rooms 14-18 are separate from our Guest house and form a unit, this offers a lovely area for a group booking.

 

Should you book all the rooms (Rooms 1 – 13, Cottage 1 and Cottage 2) and Cradle Valley receives one deposit payment you (The Bridal Couple) will receive 5% administrative discount per person on the accommodation, the deposit payment received for the accommodation will be reflected on your main wedding account.

 

Please note that lunch can be served after check in or can be arranged by our guesthouse manager as we don’t allow food to be brought in on the property.

rehearsal-title
REHEARSAL                                                                                                                                                            
 

Rehearsals can be scheduled on days where we do not have weddings and functions, this will be done only on weekdays and time slots will be allocated to bridal couples as we may have more than one on one evening, this rehearsal can be scheduled with your coordinator. Scheduling your rehearsal ahead of time will ensure Cradle Valley’s workforce will be present to serve drinks as well as serve any pre-arranged and pre-ordered Light Meals (should meals not be pre-ordered, then unfortunately the kitchen will be closed and no chefs will be available to assist as Cradle Valley does not run a full time restaurant kitchen). Keeping in mind that requiring a coordinator to be present will be at an additional cost. All own music and sound equipment will need to be arranged, Cradle Valley does have a speaker and Aux Cable available to hire should you require this.

When making a Provisional booking we will require a payment of a R500.00 nonrefundable holding deposit. Should you confirm your booking with Cradle Valley, this holding deposit will be allocated to your recon once the full venue hire amount has been received.

CLOSING TIME AND VENUE OVERTIME                                                                                                                                  
 

Venue Overtime starts from 24h00, the Boma will be light at 23h30 and a cooler box of drinks can be arranged with the Duty Manager for your use at the Boma (weather permitting**), should you opt not to take the overtime option then venue closing time is 24h00.

 

An Overtime surcharge of R4 000.00 per hour or part thereof will be levied from 24:00 on a Friday, Saturday as well as a Public Holiday and from 22:00 any weekdays as well as Sundays - up until maximum 02h00, then the boma will be utilized.

 

The latter overtime surcharge fee includes sufficient Cradle Valley staff for the amount of guests that are left over (This amount of staff will be determined and is at the discretion of the Duty Manager), but excludes the DJ’s overtime, which will be for your own account.

Cradle Valley House Rules pertaining to Flowers and Décor:

 

Cradle Valley is pleased to have Suikerbekkie Floral Design on the property as flower and décor specialist, this service has been implemented as an option to assist brides in the planning process, as we have found that having a décor company on site makes this part of the planning less stressful, however this service is not Compulsory to be used and you are welcome to make use of any floral specialist or family member should you wish.

 

No flowers and décor from outside suppliers or Bridal couples will be allowed to be brought in on days prior to the wedding, unless the venue has no function on that specific date, as we have no storage space for these items, and all flowers and décor will need to be brought in and set up on the morning of the wedding from 07:00am. All Flowers and décor need to be set up and finalized by no later than 2 hours prior to the start of the Ceremony.

 

All décor items from any outside flower and décor supplier MUST be removed from the venue by no later than 09:00 the morning after the wedding.

 

Cradle Valley will take NO responsibility for any loss or breakages on any décor items.

 

Cradle Valley staff will not assist any outside décor and flower company with set up and clean up.

 

All outside décor companies/ family members doing the flowers and décor, will be responsible for ensuring the venue is clean and neat as it was received upon arrival prior to set up, should Cradle Valley need to clean up after any supplier then there will be at an additional cost charged to the Bride and Grooms Final account.

 

Should it be required that flowers and décor from an outside supplier needs assistance in set up of Décor or set up of the venue, a setup fee can be quoted by Suikerbekkie Floral Design, with prior notice and discussion on what will be required for the day, this set-up fee is based on the amount of stuff required to be set up and will be deducted from your breakage deposit unless otherwise arranged.

 

Please note that décor and flowers will be removed at 24h00 and placed in the front office, for the convenience of the couple to transfer it to their automobiles after checking out the next day, unless arranged differently with management for guest to take flowers home on the night of the wedding.

The Suikerbekkie Team can assist you with Flowers and Décor for your Magical Day, a rough estimate that they suggest you work on is between R1000 – R3000 per table, this will all depend on the amount of décor and flowers/foliage that you will require. The best is to set up an appointment for a décor and flower consultation so that they can have a clear idea of what you require, allowing them to develop your ideas.

 

They can discuss this in more detail once your wedding date has been booked and secured at Cradle Valley (if you would like to send them pictures of your ideas then this will give a clearer idea of what you have in mind and then they can work on a more realistic quote for you.) They do also work according to any budget so please feel free to advise if you have set budget for your flowers and décor

• Should you make use of Suikerbekkie Floral Design for your Flowers and Décor, then you will be charged for the cost of the flowers ordered for the mock up.
